Learning Sessions
Program 1: Academic Tutoring (ages 6-15): Sometimes we all need a little extra support and this program is designed exactly for that. With 14 years as a teacher who has worked with students of all different ranges, I would love to use my experience to help build confidence and help improve and refine skills. Tutoring sessions are generally one on one and focus on academic skills. These sessions can be tailored to the needs of the child.
While tutoring is available across a variety of subject areas, my areas of specialty are reading comprehension and writing. I provide individualized support to help students strengthen these skills, build confidence, and develop strategies they can use both in and outside of the classroom.
Price:
30 min session: $40
Ideal for targeted skill practice, or younger learners.
45 min session: $60
Ideal for learners who need a little more time and support.
60 min session: $80
Ideal for more in-depth instruction, multiple learning goals, executive functioning support, learning strategies, and time for parent feedback.
Program 2: Social Skills Tutoring:Sometimes children need a little extra support navigating friendships, conversations, and everyday social situations. Individual Social Skills Tutoring provides personalized, one-on-one instruction in a supportive and encouraging environment.
With 14 years of teaching experience working with students with a wide range of learning styles and needs, I use practical, age-appropriate strategies to help children build confidence and strengthen the social skills they use every day. Sessions are tailored to each child’s individual strengths, needs, and goals.
Social skills tutoring may focus on conversation skills, making and maintaining friendships, understanding social cues, perspective-taking and empathy, handling disagreements, self-advocacy, emotional regulation, and building confidence in social situations. Most importantly, the goal is not to change who a child is, but to give them additional tools to communicate, connect with others, and navigate the social world with greater confidence.
To provide the greatest benefit and opportunities for real-life practice, social skills tutoring may include 2–3 individuals working together in a small-group setting.
Note: Autonomy is an important part of our approach. Adult participants must choose to participate willingly and have a genuine interest in attending. Individuals who are being required or pressured to participate will not be accepted into the program.

Program 1: Social Skills Group Activities For Teens: Each session includes a practical social skills lesson, a structured group activity to practice new skills, and time for relaxed, unstructured social interaction in a supportive and welcoming environment. Sessions held bimonthly on Fridays from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. Space is limited, so we encourage you to register early to reserve your spot.
Please Note: Personal autonomy and self-determination are important values of this program. Therefore, participation is intended for individuals who choose to attend and are motivated to engage in the learning experience. Individuals who are being required or forced to participate will not be accepted into the program.

Program 2: Social Skills Group Activities For Children (age 7-12): Each session includes a practical social skills lesson, a structured group activity to practice new skills, and time for relaxed, unstructured social interaction in a supportive and welcoming environment. Sessions are held bimonthly on Saturdays from 10:00 A.M - 12:00 P.M. Space is limited, so we encourage you to register early to reserve your spot.

Program 2: (Coming Soon)Making Friends and keeping them: This is a 6 weeks course designed to empower individuals with improved social skills in order to build friendships. It covers knowing yourself, a deeper understanding of what makes someone a good friend, how to make connections, and how to foster those connections. This group class time is TBA.

Programs for Parents
Parent Connection Group: Parenting can be both rewarding and challenging, and no one should have to navigate the journey alone. This free support group provides a welcoming space for parents to connect, share experiences, encourage one another, and access helpful information and resources. It is also a wonderful opportunity to meet me, learn more about The Family Center for Neurodivergence, explore the programs we offer, and hear about our vision for supporting individuals and families in the community.
